How to View Cookies


A "cookie" is a small text file that’s stored in your Internet browser. Cookies serve the purpose of storing your user information for the various Web sites you visit. Without cookies, a Web site cannot remember your account or browsing history.

Internet Explorer

    Open Internet Explorer.

    Click on “Tools.” It is in the main menu area of the Internet Explorer browser.

    Scroll down and select “Internet Options.” This is part of the "tools" menu.

    Look under the Browsing History section on the General settings tab.

    Press the “Settings” button.

    Select the “View Files” button.

    Scroll down until you see the files labeled as cookies.

Mozilla Firefox

    Open Firefox.

    Select the “Tools” option from the main menu of the Firefox.

    Find the “Options” setting on the tools menu and click on it.

    Click on the “Privacy” button.

    Locate the “Remove Individual Cookies”

    You can now view the cookies of your Browser.

Google Chrome

    Open Google Chrome.

    Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.

    Select“Settings” from the menu.

    Click "Show advanced settings".

    In the "Privacy" section, click the Content settings button.

    Click the "All Cookies and Site Data" button.

    You can now view the cookies of your Browser.

Apple Safari

    Open Safari.

    Click the "Action menu". (Action menu is near the upper-right corner of the Safari window, and looks like a gear.)

    Select "Preferences"

    Discover the “Privacy” tab and click on it.

    If you want to see which websites store cookies on your computer, click "Details".

    You can now view the cookies of your browser.
